Animal Thieves



Photographer David Slater got a bit more than he'd bargained for when, while on a trip to a national park in Indonesia, a group of crested black macaques stole his camera...and began snapping pictures of themselves. I have to say, this photo is a fantastic shot, made so much better by the fact that it's a self-portrait. Nicely done, thieving macaques! (Obviously, Slater did get his camera back.)

Which reminded me of another instance of animal theft, this time involving a seagull and a video camera. The footage is pretty hilarious, especially when the asshole seagull beings squawking and pecking at the camera. In order to retrieve his camera, this poor bastard had to climb a castle wall.
