If I Only Had a Braaaain

Meant to post this, oh, a week ago. But I've been busy and forgetful. Anyway, I've always been a sucker for all things Wizard of Oz. Especially if they're funny. (Yeah, I owned an Air Dorothy—"It's gotta be da shoes!" tee back in the day.) So I greatly appreciate this shirt. I think I may need one. How often do you get to combine zombies and The Wizard of Oz in one shirt? (Via the always-excellent Tcritic.)

Wiitlemania

Yeah, I know Wii-themed stuff should be getting old by now, but it's not. So, what happens when you cross the Beatles with the Wii? This shirt. (Via Tcritic.)

Dork Out With Your Pork Out

Well, as I learned from this Kotaku interview, Whorecraft (formerly World of Whorecraft, but, understandably, Blizzard had an itty-bitty problem with that title) is now up and running. (Thanks for the heads-up, Zack.) Check out the official site for more info (and the opportunity to buy one of the funniest/dorkiest T-shirts ever).

In a similar vein, if you want to ogle some Warcrafty chicks without paying to download, why don't you take the free tour of Bare Maidens? Pretty funny. Totally NSFW, natch. (Thanks Genie!)

Kicking Off the Valentine's Day Gift Guide

Well, as long as you're doing the whole boy-girl-Valentine's Day thing, you might as well Perpetuate the Stereotype. It's okay, 'cause it's all socially conscious and tongue-in-cheek, you see. Not to mention good design. Also unisex, which means it's a good gift for both boy-types and girl-types.

Ending Women's Suffrage

Okay, peeps. Remember the good ol' days of The Man Show? The one with Adam Carolla and Jimmy Kimmel, not the generic douchewads who replaced them. Without a doubt, the best bit ever done in that show was the piece in which Adam and Jimmy set up a table in a mall and asked passersby to sign a petition to end women's suffrage. And many did. Including many women. It was hysterical. Now that hysteria's been captured in T-shirt form.

Wii-alistic Expectations

Okay, let's face it: You want a Wii for Christmas. But, what with the shortages and the lines, it's a pain in the glayven. So you're not getting a Wii for Christmas. (And definitely not a PS3, but that's no great loss—it costs $600, weighs 17 pounds, and looks like a George Foreman grill.) To numb the pain of a Wii-less holiday, get a DS Lite (in either polar white or onyx black), which is awfully handy for when you have to take three flights in one day. And, in preparation for your eventual ownership of a Wii, get this shirt.

And an X-Wing in a Pear Tree

Okay, how'd you like a little Star Wars action to kick off The Pinup's 2006 Holiday Gift Guide? I'm kinda down with the themes this year, and this one's good for kids, fanboys (and -girls), and, generally, most boy-types. Do the sensible thing and pretend the prequels never happened. Instead, pick up these excellent editions of the original trilogy, each of which includes both the original release and the tarted-up (fine, remastered) 2004 version.

To enhance the Star Wars experience, consider giving one of these funny yet fashionable tees: the ubiquitous Dark Side of the Garden or the lesser-known Boo Boo Walker. More for the kiddies is the Yoda backpack, which would also make a great substitute stocking.
